Peachland, B.C. – Offsite works to pave the way for Peachland’s new Child Care Centre will begin on Clements Crescent on Monday, March 10. TwinCon Enterprises Ltd. will construct a new waterline, storm and sewer line and restore the road afterwards.

The work is expected to be completed in three months. Construction activity will take place between 7 am and 7 pm from Monday to Saturday.

Construction activity may generate noise and dust. Residents in the area should secure any loose objects that may fall during compaction activities. TwinCon will make efforts to minimize disruptions during construction. Motorists and pedestrians on Clements Crescent are asked to follow the directions of traffic control personnel and construction signage to help ensure a safe environment for the public and construction workers.

Tendering early in the year brings cost advantages, but the District must also meet the grant requirements schedule. Steps have been taken to make it as smooth as possible. The contractor has been in contact with the school about traffic management and notified homeowners in the area about detour plans. Work directly in front of the school will be undertaken during spring break and some repaving that requires alternating traffic will be done after school hours. Detoured pedestrian access should be expected and garbage/recycling collection will continue throughout the project.

Questions about this construction project can be directed to TwinCon’s site representative at 250-488-7239.
